NutriTASC

Malnutrition has been one of the biggest concerns of the whole world. Andhra Pradesh isn’t very far from this seemingly devastating social evil. In order to make sure the targeted part of the population, the pregnant women, get the benefits, the state government has come up with this ingenious idea.

In this article, we will discuss more on the whole of Bala Sanjeevani Scheme in general along with some other relevant information.

AP Bala Sanjeevani Scheme Features

As far as Malnutrition is concerned, it has been a calamitous situation so far in the whole world. Andhra Pradesh as well hasn’t been spared by the wrath of this menace. As per the reports, these are the stats for the state of Andhra Pradesh:

1.
Boys
53%
2.
Girls
35.6%

As you can see, a lion share of the population is struggling to get food necessary for survival, let alone have something worth a privilege. Having these things in mind, the Andhra Pradesh government thought of coming up with a scheme.

This scheme specifically targets three types of people from the said population. Those are:

  • Pregnant Women
  • Children below the age of 6 years
  • Mothers

These three groups forming the bulk of the non-employed population are quite susceptible to the consequences as far as malnutrition and starvation are concerned. With no certain benefits, this core group of our society will fall down creating a massive imbalance.

Hence, this scheme was materialised in order to curb down the visible ill-effects. The features of the said Bala Sanjeevani Scheme are as follows:

  • To disintegrate malnutrition from the state.
  • To present protein-rich food to the pregnant women, Mothers & children up to the age of 6.
  • Diminishing Infant Mortality Rate.
  • To subdue birth defects in infants.

With the onset of this fabulous scheme, 20300 pregnant women and mothers & 5900 children are believed to be benefited. Having all of this in mind, it is understood that many more women and children are likely to register themselves for this scheme.

AP Bala Sanjeevani Scheme Eligibility Criteria

With such a lucrative scheme on hands, the population, specifically the pregnant women, mothers and children below the age of 6 will be up and running for registering themselves. However, in order to get that done successfully, you need to fulfil a few eligibility criteria.

These rules and regulations are made sure they’re there in order to demolish any particular case of fraudulent activities. These eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Andhra Pradesh residents only
  • Preference to pregnant women
  • Age limit in the case of children
  • Supporting proof for being from an economically insecure situation

Expanding on the points given above, the applicants need to produce all of the supporting proof documents in order to make their claim come true. However, the maximum preference will be given to Pregnant mothers, as mentioned above, since it is the cornerstone of this scheme from the beginning.
